OF the £367,111 traded on Betfair on the Royal Hunt Cup at 4.20pm, a total of £247,789, or 67 per cent of the market has been traded on Bankable.
The dominance is even more pronounced in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at 3.45pm. Of the market volume of £389,558, Duke Of Marmalade is responsible for £293,271, or 75 per cent.

Paco out
NO sooner hadStan James cut their price about Paco Boy for the Jersey Stakes than the Greenham Stakes winner was declared a non runner.
He is the second withdrawal this morning after Beacon Lodge, reducing the field to 16.

Money for Paco
STAN JAMES'S PR representative Laura Stephens reports that Paco Boy, who runs for Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes in the opening Jersey Stakes at 2.30pm, has been trimmed to 9-1 (from 12).
The same firm are "being brave", easingthe red-hot favourite Bankable to 2-1 (from 7-4) for the Royal Hunt Cup at 4.20pm.
Blue Square's standout 9-4 offer about Bankable has gone and the firm are now also trading at 2-1.

Beacon Lodge out
BEACONLODGE, who had a ground proviso overnight, is a non-runner in the Jersey Stakes a 2.30pm.
Trainer Clive Cox must now rely on Pearly Wey in the Wokingham Stakes on Saturday if he is to have a Royal Ascot success this week - and a third in all.

Going update
THE official going at Ascot this morning is the same as posted last night after racing, Good to firm, firm in places.
Clerk of the course Chris Stickels and his team of 45 began the watering process last night at 7pm and finished around 2am this morning. In all, four millimetres were applied around the entire course.
Stickels said: "It was dry overnight and though I am feeling a few spots of rain this morning, and we could have a passing lightshower, any rain is forecast for after racing."
The goingstick reading overall is the same as yesterday at 10.0, while down slightly on the straight course at 11.0 from 11.5 and up slightly on the round course at 9.4 from 8.9.
Sugar sweet
SUGAR FREE, available at 14-1 for the Queen Mary Stakes at 4.55pm with Stan James and Bet Direct, is down to 8-1 this morning, the same price as Paddy Power were last night.
The same firms are 14-1 from 25 about Flipando for the Royal Hunt Cup at 4.20pm.

LADBROKES report a quiet morning on a day that could be marked by carnage for the bookmakers with two of the week's bankers, Bankable in the Royal Hunt Cup and Duke Of Marmalade in the Prince of Wales's Stakes, due to go off short-priced favourites.
