* James Given's string has come good in recent weeks, and one of its number, Crow Wood, should run well in the valuable handicap at 3.30.

* Field Spark is in good heart and runs in the handicap at 4.00.

* Clive Brittain's Ampoule heads north for the closing handicap at 5.10.

SANDOWN

* Grand old campaigner Persian Punch runs in the Henry II Stakes at 2.30, a race he won in 1997, 1998 and 2000.

* Last season's exciting Cheveley Park winner Airwave makes her reappearance in the Temple Stakes at 3.05.

* In-form Colisay seems sure to go close in the quite valuable rated stakes at 3.40.
