Manchester City striker Paul Dickov is a non-starter for the FA Cup third-round replay with a toe injury.
But Stephen Jordan should figure after a virus while Hatem Trabelsi remains doubtful because of a hamstring strain.
Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is waiting on "one or two knocks" but could field an unchanged side.
Defenders Tommy Spurr and Frank Simek received their fifth bookings of the season at Derby, but are clear to play, and Wade Small is pushing for a start.
News conference: Man City manager Stuart Pearce
Interview: Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws

BIG-MATCH FACTS
MANCHESTER CITY were given the scare of their lives when they faced Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in the weekend before last. A 78th minute penalty from George Samaras appeared to have put City through, but a deserved equaliser from Steve MacLean just 80 seconds later forced this additional fixture to the Citiziens' schedule.
Stuart Pearce's side were FA Cup quarter-finalists last year, beating Scunthorpe, Wigan and Aston Villa before being knocked out by eventual losing finalists West Ham. They've not won the Cup since 1969, when they beat Leicester at Wembley to lift the silverware for the forth time in the club's history.
This was the third time City have been drawn against Sheffield Wednesday, but the first time in 77 years. They have never been knocked out by the south Yorkshire club, and go into this replay on a five-match undefeated run of three wins and two draws since a 0-2 reverse to Bolton at Eastlands on 23 December.
SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are hoping to become the third lower League club to knock out Premiership opposition from the season's FA Cup competition.
Wednesday are 21 places lower in the pecking order, four points outside a Championship play off place. Brian Laws has been in charge for 13 games, six of which have been won, three drawn and four lost. Wednesday have not won this year, drawing one and losing two since beating Barnsley in the south Yorkshire derby at the Oakwell Stadium on 30 December.
The Owls have won the FA Cup three times, but not since 1935. They've also not got past the third round since 2000-01, when they were knocked out by Southampton in round four. Victory at Eastlands would give them an opportunity to avenge that defeat at Hillsborough in this season's fourth round.
