A story of "Belgian Champion" here. Genk is the champion of the last season while Brugge is the champion of THIS season. The things have changed... Genk is no more the very good and lucky team of the last year, while Brugge is much strongest.

Since Genk can no more grab a UEFA cup ticket, they play now without any motivation. They have played a bad match last week when they lost 1-2 at GBA. In fact, some players contracts are at the end and some players ask them questions about their future... Not good for the global morale of the team.

Brugge have had a bad perdiod dring some weeks, but the things are going good now. They have beaten Mons and Westerlo the last two weeks. Their football was not excellent but they won easily.

For this match, Genk will have two big team problems : their topscorer Sonck is suspended and their playmaker Thys is injured...

Brugge will miss two regulars : The left def. Van der Eyden and the Gk Verlinden. Both players can be replaced easily IMO, which is not the case for Genk.

Brugge play better than Genk at the moment, and Genk without their 2 bast players (Yes, they are the two best players)is no mor so "strong", even if they can still create a surprise. The Genk President have said at some players that they can find another club...The 4 defenders are in the case... All the defense !

Brugge have shown recently than their bad period seem to be behind them and I think that they are able to win this match.

Brugge is a good bet for today.
