alcune notizie da Windsor:
questo il tracciato
Effect of the draw:
It is not uncommon to see large fields at Windsor through the season, particularly in sprints, and there is a definite bias on every going, bar good to soft, which seems to be the break-even point.
On soft or heavy going, (especially early season) it is a clear advantage to be drawn low and get as near to the far rail as possible; this can change somewhat in the autumn when, as at many other courses, it is a case of trying to find the freshest strip of ground.
High numbers are best on good or faster ground (especially on good to firm) and watering only seems to increase the bias even further.
Quick Draw: High numbers are definitely best in sprints when the ground is good or faster, there's not much in it on good to soft, and low numbers have a clear advantage when its soft or heavy.
Concentrate on: The top 4 stalls in fast ground sprints, the bottom 6 stalls in soft and heavy ground sprints.
Horses that have been placed recently at nearby Newbury, tend to improve here.
In handicaps, top rated on form and speed do not tend to do very well. Top weights have a good record here.
