Kings vs Mavericks 13.Jan

The Kings are getting a lot of respect here and we think it is not fully deserved. They did win their last game against the Cavs by a large margin 103-84, but the key thing here is that the Cavs are just really really bad at the moment, while playing without Lebron James. So anyone who saw that game understands that it was more about Cleveland failing to play at a respectable level rather than the Kings playing great. Sacramento`s performance depends about 90% of how DeMarcus Cousins plays. If he can dominate at low post and hits some outside shots, the Kings are a dangerous team. If he has a bad or below average day, the Kings will struggle.

And this is why the Mavericks are a tough opponents for the Kings. Tyson Chandler is a former defensive player of the year and is one of the best low-post defenders in the league. He has height advantage, can match Cousins strenght and although offensively he is not a factor he will likely do a great job to frustrate Cousins at the other end of the court. That leaves the Kings offensively to rely a lot on Rudy Gay hitting outside shots – and it is not a winning formula.

The Mavs suffered a bad loss against the Clippers, but have had 3 off days to lick their wounds. They have been playing better as of late as Rajon Rondo is becoming more and more accustomed with the teams offense. It is a game where veteran team with veteran players will face young, hungry but unexperienced team. Dallas has match up advantages and we see them covering the spread. Take Mavs -4.5 points @1.909 from Pinnacle with 3/5 units.

d'accordo sui Mavs, altra bet molto buona del nostro amico da oltreconfine se non fosse che questi quando trovano squadre forti in casa si esaltano e tirano fuori la prestazione, vedi OKC, Portland, CHicago, Spurs e Cavs tutte squadre che qui ci hanno lasciato le penne).
Sul resto spiace e non poco la vittoria Suns contro i Cavs, a quanto pare LeBron non sarà del match e i Cavs sono 1-7 senza di lui, viceversa Phoenix viene da 10-4 nelle ultime 14 con due L all'overtime (OKC e Memphis) e le altre due perse con meno di 4 punti di scarto; tenuti sotto i 100 solo dagli Spurs e che sembrano avere trovato in Alex Len un centro di buon livello di cui avevano bisogno; sorprese a parte difficile pensare che una squadra difensivamente penosa come questi Cavs possa tenerli sotto i 110 punti, anche se molto dipenderà da Phoenix; anche i 5 punti di handicap sembrano una linea giusta e attaccabile.
Hawks che a Philadelphia potrebbero, volendo, dilagare, dopo aver umiliato gli Wizards di 31 e i Cavs con lo stesso margine; Mi riesce difficile pensare invece che Utah e Minnesota possano perdere in doppia cifra contro Warriors e Pacers, i Jazz rimangono una squadra dalle buone prospettive nonostante la sconfitta contro Houston ( che al momento si conferma una squadra delle piu in forma), e in casa sono sempre ostici, viceversa indiana si sta aggrappando ai soliti West e Hibbert per cercare di racimolare qualche W e provarci per i playoff.
Wizards - Spurs partita che in texas fu molto equilibrata e da queste parti negli ultimi anni ha sempre visto OT e vittorie di misura da parte di entrambe,mentre gli Heat potrebbero fare 2 su 2 contro Kobe, non credo in un'altra giornata d'oro di Whiteside ma più di tutto è il dinosauro che pare stia finalmente salendo di livello come gli si chiedeva a inizio stagione.
