St. Patrick's Athletic - Shamrock Rovers ore 20:45

Shamrock che a causa dei recenti passi falsi interni contro Cork e Galway ha gettato alle ortiche la possibilità  di conquistare il titolo.

In teoria potrebbero ancora concludere il campionato appaiati al Bohemians ma la differenza reti li penalizza in maniera decisiva.

Saints che hanno disputato una stagione di grande sofferenza. Terzultimi insieme allo Sligo a quota 40, sono a forte rischio spareggio per evitare la retrocessione.

Nonostante i Rovers non abbiano più nulla da chiedere al campionato, l'impegno per i padroni di casa si presenta durissimo anche perchè gli ospiti, come insegna lo spirito britannico, non saranno disposti a fare sconti.

Saints già  sconfitti quattro volte in stagione dai Rovers, ma questa sera dovranno gettare il cuore oltre l'ostacolo e cercare di conquistare ad ogni costo quei tre punti che, in caso di notizie positive dagli altri campi, sarebbero decisivi per evitare lo strascico dei playoff.

*With Shamrock Rovers’ title ambitions all but over the focus of attention turns to St.Patrick’s Athletic’s relegation battle when the pair square off at Richmond Park on Friday night in the League Of Ireland Premier Division (Kick Off 7:45pm).

With Pat’s desperate for a result which could see them avoid the dreaded relegation play offs they will be going all out for a win though Pat’s will be only too aware that they are also be reliant on results going in their favour elsewhere.

The Saints sit on 40 points as do Sligo Rovers who have a superior goal difference to the Inchicore club, while Galway United have amassed 41 points. However, The Tribesmen have an inferior goals difference to both Pat’s and the Bit‘o’Red so any of the three could conceivably still finish in the remaining play off place.

Achieving victory over the men from Tallaght is an awful lot easier said than done however, given that the Dublin rivals have met on no fewer than four occasions this seasons and the Hoops have prevailed as winners on each and every occasion.

Michael O’Neill’s men can mathematically still win the the league title this year although it is dependent on not only a victory at Richmond Park and Bohemians loosing at Bray but also a 16 goal swing in the Hoops’ favour in the process.

Pete Mahon’s brief when taking the reins at St.Pat’s was to keep his new team in the division and the former UCD boss will be dearly hoping that he manages to do it without enduring the dreaded play offs.

*Shamrock Rover’s manager Michael O’Neill’s pre-match admission that he will be fielding a weakened team in Friday night’s trip to face St.Patrick’s Athletic at Richmond Park will be music to the ears of anyone of a Pat’s persuasion as the Saint’s seek a positive result which could see them avoid the dreaded relegation play-offs.

When questioned as to whether he had a full squad at his disposal O’Neill revealed: “Aside from Ian (Bermingham), everyone else is available – but that doesn’t mean they’ll play.â€

Seguito Caronte con 15 unità ... sarà  durissima, soprattutto con me sul carro, in questi giorni ho scagliato delle robe pazzesche, non credo che il ciclo di sfighe sia finito (io non credevo a cicli, cabale, ecc., ma quando nella stessa settimana scagli almeno 10 bet con robe tipo Dallas @NOH in vantaggio di 3 punti con 3 liberi a disposizione a 7' dalla fine oppure quattro over/gol saltati con quattro rigori sbagliati + gol regolari annullati + altri con una dozzina buona di pali/traverse... cioè uno va bene, a volte anche due o tre nel breve... ma tutti insieme... a sto punto credo anche a San Gennaro [con tutto il rispetto]...), vediamo se riesco a esorcizzarlo così.. evitate la bet, voi che salireste sul carro dopo di me..

oltre al fatto che i giocatori del derry non prendono stipendi da più di dieci settimane, è probabile che il destino del derry city sia segnato dai debiti e retrocesso (fonte BBC).

preso forte, 1,50 su bet365, lo Sligo, a parte la sconfitta contro Bohemians,viene da un buon periodo di forma, inoltre nella partita precedente non ha rischiato diversi uomini,con la vittoria sarebbe al sicuro dallo spareggio,avversario di turno il Drogheda, già  condannato agli spareggi. Come giustamente sottilinea pamando, la quota non regala nulla, ma ci sta la chiamata.
