Nuggest vs Raptors

Linemakers still give a huge amount of respect to the Nuggets homecourt advantage. Here is the newsflash: they are 9-6 at home this season, which is only the 9th best record in the Western Conference. Their overall record of 13-17 leaves them outside the play-off race and injuries to McGee, Gallinari, Foye and Arthur means that their bench is really short and starters have to play heavy minutes. That of course is a killer, especially against the teams that like to play uptempo style. Toronto being the 2nd best offensive team in the league will cause the Nuggets 48 minutes of headache in that department.

Denver has had one of the easiest weeks in their schedule playing 4 non play-off teams in a row, but still going only 2-2 and struggling in each and every one of these games. The Raptors (22-7) of course have a totally different quality and performing anything like in last 4 games, the Nuggets will stand no chance. The Raptors will have to play this game as back-to-back, but they got much easier night yesterday than was expected. The bench gave the Raptors a solid performance, which led to starters playing 35 minutes or less in a 13-point win.

The Raptors have lost only 7 times this season (2x to CLE, CHI and once to DAL, MIA and LAL). It is safe to say that losing tonight would take the Raptors to play one of the worst games of the season. In Denver it can happen, although its not likely. Still it is smart to keep the stakes low for this one. Take Toronto -2.5 points @1.952 with 2/5 units from Pinnacle.

do you think the absence of De Rozan is not so important for Toronto in this game?

Qualche incontro interessante quest'oggi e partite che soffriranno del periodo delle trade per cui e facile aspettarsi delle sorprese.
Detroit con l'addio di josh smith e saldamente nelke mani di van gundy il quale a questo punto ha visto i pregi ( pochi) e difetti ( tanti ) dei suoi, e ho l'impressione che questi pistons possano diventare una bella sorpresa nel proseguo di stagione. A parte il fatto che oggi giocano contro i cavs che in casa hanno definitivamente innestato le marce alte e che offensivamente riescono a imporsi su qualsiasi franchigia nba, a patto che i big three girino. Lascerei perdere questo match, vedendo piu interessanti altre quote, come quella di OKC a dallas, mavs che stanno rimodellando la squadra su rondo e hanno mostrato diversi problemi,viceversa i thunder devono vincere per riprendere la zona playoff e hanno un westbrook in stato di grazia, oltre ad avere una fisicita che a nowitzki e co puo andare molto indigesta.
Raptors abbastanza sottovalutati in colorado, i nuggets hanno si i soliti vantaggi, ma manca loro quel che serve per poter portare via qualcosa contro toronto: la loro determinazione. In canada si ebbe un OT e uma vittoria raptors per questo motivo, nuggets in una delle loro partite ai massimi livelli,ma incompiuta.
Knicks che contro portland rischiano l'imbarcata, ma piu che da loro dipende dai blazers, se avranno voglia di chiudere subito la pratica o complicarsi la vita.
Infine derby texano con un josh smith in piu per i rockets e i soliti problemi di gestione degli infortuni di san antonio. Linea dell' over sicuramente troppo alta, e san antonio che soffre fin troppo i cugini.

Howard arriva da una prestazione discutibile complice il solito problema di falli ed avversari complicati. Questa notte però, potrebbe esser per lui meno insidiosa. La fisicità e l'atletismo non mancano e per quanto non abbia un IQ cestistico degno di Timmy&co, diventa ostico per i lunghi di Pop. i 20 a referto, falli e % dalla linea della carità permettendo, mi sembrano alla portata nel derby in cui vedo favo gli ospiti.
