With the way the Heat are playing right now, they are in no position to cover eight points against the Knicks. Miami has lost three of their last four games, and will be playing for the third time in four nights.
The Heat are now a miserable 2-6 ATS at home this season. When playing on one day of rest, as they are here, they are just 1-5 ATS on the season. The Knicks on the other hand, have started to show improvement, winning two of their last three games, and currently ride a 6-2 ATS run.
New York's defense has been solid on the road this season, holding opponents to just over 41% shooting. They have allowed just three teams to break the 100-point mark in 12 games. Another strong effort on the defensive end of the floor should be in the works against the struggling Heat.
The Knicks have dominated this series ATS, taking eight of the last 10 meetings. They have grabbed the cash in four of their last five trips to Miami. Those trends continue on monday. Take New York.

We’re not sure what the Hornets have to do to get a little respect after winning four of their last five games, but they are certainly not getting any in Golden State on Monday night. Take the ‘nearly double digit’ head start with New Orleans in this one, and watch them make a game of it.
New Orleans holds the edge in a few worthwhile categories here, including FG%, FT%, and they’ll go blow for blow with the Warriors on the boards. The Hornets also own the same amount of road losses (3) as Golden Sate does on their home court. Just one of the Hornets last six opponents has hit the century mark, and they’ve out-rebounded seven of their last eight.
Now that Golden State is finally scoring some points, they’ve gone slack under their own basket. Allowing over 100 per game during their last five, and now asked to lay this big number is a dangerous combination for Warriors bettors. The energetic, but young backcourt of Chris Paul, and JR Smith are proving they can keep pace with most, and we should add that New Orleans is already 2-0 SU when paying visit to western conference teams.
The Hornets are 3-3 SU, 4-2 ATS on the road this season, and 7-3 ATS when getting any amount of points. We think there’s room to squeeze at least one more winning ticket in there before the betting public catches up. Take the points. Play New Orleans
