Prendo alcune quote al buio cioe' senza aver visto nessun turno di prove,
si corre sul circuito di Phillip Island circuito "vero"molto impegnativo sia per piloti,moto,gomme, con curvoni da 180 KM/h, qui bisogna tirare fuori le palle.

Chris Vermeulen dichiara di puntare al podio sul circuito di casa, penso possa fare bene pero' lo prendo non sul podio ma nei top six a @2,30 Bwin.

MotoGP: Hayden fastest at Philip Island

NICKY HAYDEN is the fastest at Phillip Island during the second MotoGP practice session.

The session was dogged by rain, leaving home hero Casey Stoner having to settle for fith quickest at the end of the first day.

Stoner was in awesome form on Friday in Phillip Island, making the most of the morning dry practice session for the Australian Grand Prix to record the fastest time of the day. The Ducati rider started strongly at his home track, with a 1´30.094 quickest lap nearly seven-tenths of a second quicker than MotoGP world title successor Valentino Rossi in the opening run.

Stoner came close to breaching the circuit record, set by teammate Marco Melandri in 2005, despite riding without the protective strapping on his injured scaphoid in order to increase mobility. The local rider and 2007 racewinner picked up from where he left off on Friday, showing that he is not going to ease off the throttle despite his concession of the World Championship to Rossi at the last round.

Rain in the second session allowed the riders to work on their wet setup, with forecasts for the weekend suggesting that both settings will be required over the course of the weekend. Repsol Honda´s Nicky Hayden was fastest in that outing, with Stoner and Rossi down in fifth and sixth, respectively.

A further second back in the dry, Alex de Angelis came off his San Carlo Honda Gresini RC212V in the second session in a light off, and was a little way off the pace in the rain. Somewhat more consistent, whatever the weather, was JiR Team Scot´s Andrea Dovizioso, fourth fastest in the dry and second quickest in the wet afternoon session.

Randy de Puniet also suffered an afternoon fall after clocking the fifth fastest time of the morning, ahead of Dani Pedrosa, Shinya Nakano, Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Capirossi and James Toseland.

Twice poleman at Phillip Island, Hayden was surprisingly on much better form in the wet, only able to place eleventh in the morning´s dry run.

Ti ho seguito convinto con capirossi su ed.. Le bridgestone non sono superiori alle michelin come l'anno scorso ma su questo tracciato credo abbiano ancora un piccolo vantaggio. Ed non sembra in forma, Toseland lo ha picchiato grazie all'esperienza che aveva del tracciato (superpole l'anno scorso in sbk).. Purtroppo le michelin da tempo sembrano essere tornate quelle dell'anno scorso e di sorpassi ne dovrà  fare capirezza prima di beccare il texano, ma il circuito gli piace, ha sempre fatto bene qui.

Credo sarà  una gara bellissima.. Tanti spunti, a partire da un Rossi 12mo... Per la prima volta dall'inizio del mondiale leggo le analysis dei giri senza riuscire a farmi un'idea precisa.. Molte contraddizioni, moto che partivano avvantaggiate (es. le honda gresini) superate durante i tre giorni da chi ha lavorato bene. Tra questi l'Immenso. L'ho preso a podio con qualche eurino su BF @ 10 e mi sento fortunato. Certo partire intruppato in 8a posizione non è il massimo, così come avere un osso come Toseland da superare... MA il dovi in gara si trasforma.
L'ho preso su Pinna @ 1.76 su Edwards, credo valga veramente molto meno....

Poco altro.. Di quelle ancora in giro in it segnalo per la 250cc Simon su Takahashi a 1,75 micro.
