Nicholls issues Strong Flow Hennessy warning

PAUL NICHOLLS issued a warning to ante-post punters yesterday ahead of Strong Flow's reappearance in today's novices' chase at Newton Abbot.

The six-year-old figures prominently in the betting for the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury on November 29, and seems sure to be shortened in price if successful in the William Hill-sponsored chase this afternoon. However, his trainer is far from committed to the big race at this stage.

Nicholls said yesterday: "He seems to have quite an attractive weight for the Hennessy, and wouldn't get a penalty if he won at Newton Abbot, but I'm not counting any chickens.

"There are plenty of alternatives for him, including another novices' chase at the Newbury meeting, and I'd advise punters not to back him for the Hennessy until they see he's in on the day.

"I won't commit him at all until after tomorrow, then talking to Ruby and the owner and seeing next week what the ground is.â€

Seguivo la telescrivente racingpost, come ai vecchi tempi in agenzia.
Questo a metà  gara era già  "superbly".
