Ciao apro questa nuova discussione per parlare e scambiarci opinioni su una delle corse più attese del weekend.
Anche quest'anno Kauto Star è ovviamente il netto favorito ed è ad un passo da un record storico(4 King George vinti di seguito).
Anche se nel Betfair Chase ha vinto di un pelo su imperial Commander, a Kempton sembra davvero imbattibile e dalle dichiarazioni di Nichols è in ottima forma, quindi davvero difficile da opporre nonostante la quota bassa.
Io stavo pensando di puntarlo forte in Antepost con l'ottica di rivenderla, dato che secondo me molto probabilmente la quota scenderà  almeno a 1.5(se non meno).
Che ne pensate?
Puntarlo secco tenendo fino alla fine ovviamente non me la sento, gli avversari sono all'altezza e Imperial Commander potrebbe sempre avere la sua rivalsa!

Lo punti a 1.63 a 400 euro e lo banchi a 1.44 a 450 e fai un utile piu' o meno di 50 euro,e visto la classe del cavallo si potrebbe anche tentare.

Intanto ho puntato 100 euro a quota 1.64(che secondo me visto il cavallo è più o meno una quota equa), ormai l'antepost su betfair è stato chiuso, non mi resta che attendere l'apertura del mercato ufficiale, male che vada a coprirmi più o meno alla stessa quota ci riesco sempre, ma secondo me potrebbe benissimo scendere, un cavallo come Kauto Star, tra l'altro dichiarato da allenatore e fantini in ottima forma riceverà  quasi di sicuro una volume di puntate da paura!

KAUTO STAR will have to beat a dozen rivals if his bid to make racing history is to be successful on Boxing Day.

After only Roll Along defected at the final declaration stage, a field of 13 jumpers will contest the William Hill King George VI Chase, which Clive Smith's superstar seeks to win for the fourth consecutive year, a feat never previously achieved.

Imperial Commander, who came within millimetres of beating Kauto Star in last month's Betfair Chase, heads the opposition to Ruby Walsh's mount, while 2008 runner-up Albertas Run is once again in the field, as are high-profile performers Madison Du Berlais, Barbers Shop, Deep Purple and Nacarat.

Kauto in peak condition for fourth King George

THERE will be "no excuses" should Kauto Star fail to win a fourth consecutive King George VI Chase, but failure was looking a slim possibility on Wednesday when Paul Nicholls confirmed hisjumping heavyweight to be in peak condition for the assignment on December 26.


The mighty reputation of jumping's highest-rated performer was not enough to prevent 12 horses being declared against him for Saturday's showpiece, but Nicholls is offering rival connections little reason for optimism.

"Kauto is in great form and schooled very well this morning - it is all systems go and there really are no excuses," said the trainer.

"We've had a great prep and a nice run at Haydock, where we got the right result. Everything has gone exactly how we wanted since then. He's at his most effective when he is fresh and fit and we've got the right combination at the moment."

Kauto Star's jockey Ruby Walsh has been the man in the saddle for the nine-year-old's three previous King George triumphs and he will again take the reins when Clive Smith's triple Kempton champion attempts to become the first horse to win the Boxing Day classic in four straight years.

Al momento è fermo a 1.61,lo stanno bancando forte,difficile che scenda fino al giorno della gara,comunque dall'articolo che hai postato Kauto sembra in gran forma e questo fa ben sperare chi l'ha puntato.

Si infatti mi sa che rimango a guardare. Questa quota è troppo bassa per puntare e troppo alta per bancare per come la vedo io.
Se sabato scendesse intorno a 1.5 posso farci un pensierino per la bancata, sennò conviene rimanere fermi.
Io sono convinto che Kauto Star può vincere , però quota 1.62 non ha valore per tentare una puntata, si tratta sempre di affrontare ottimi avversari, non è una corsa proprio scontata, anche se Kempton è l'ippodromo in cui Kauto va meglio.
Chi l'ha preso a 1.80 o più in antepost ha fatto un'ottimo affare, 1.60 diciamo che è una quota equa, ma senza valore.
Imperial commander, Albertas run, Madison Du Berlais, Nacarat, Berbers Shop e Deep purple, sono tutti avversari in corsa, che potrebbero insidiare il record di Kauto.

Corre nello stesso modo su qualsiasi terreno e distanza, e quando è pronto per gli appuntamenti importanti è praticamente imbattibile.

36lunghezze su una corsa del genere è un vero record!oltre ovviamente a 4 King chase di fila.
Se vince anche l'anno prossimo supera il pure mitico Desert Orchid!
Peccato non ho avuto il coraggio di puntare secco, quindi ho tradato, ma 1.64 su una corsa simile mi sembrava troppo basso per puntare e troppo alto per bancare(anche un mostro come Kauto star può sbagliare)
Invece andava puntato forte, beato chi ha avuto le palle di metterci 500-1000 euro e tenerlo fino alla fine.
Comunque un +30 l'ho fatto lo stesso mi accontento va, è che purtroppo i soldi per fare una puntata pesante non ce l'ho...

Bhe allo stesso modo proprio ovunque diciamo di no, il right handed di Kempton è il suo forte, ì va alla grande ovunque, ma sulle 3 miglia di Kempton da il massimo
