WRIGHT VIGAR 30th CELEBRATION HANDICAP (3)

Nightjar 110 / has a good record at this track, winning on his first four visits and producing a decent effort here recently in a strong race, despite the mile trip stretching him. He looks vulnerable off this mark, however.

Galpin Junior 99 / was highly tried as a two-year-old after winning his maiden and was also thrown in at the deep end in two starts this term (listed/Group 2 contests). This is easier but he has a bit to prove at present. He is now tried in blinkers.

Prescription 112+ / Non runner

Masai Moon 112 / is a consistent sort but, paradoxical though it sounds, that's his downfall, as he seldom gets much sympathy from the handicapper. It would be no surprise to see him go well again, but others are more likely winners.

Invincible Lad 115 / maintained a 100% all-weather record when eased down to beat Lesley's Choice (by one-and-three-quarter lengths) here last month. He has a career-high mark to defy and is drawn widest of all, but has to be taken seriously nevertheless.

Quest For Success 116 / is in fine fettle, having beaten the smart Tamagin off this mark at Hamilton and produced solid efforts in valuable races behind Kaldoun Kingdom on his next two outings. He has a big chance if reproducing that form.

Bond City 112 / has been in and out this term. He performed better than the result suggests when on the wrong side in Ayr Bronze Cup last month, but made no impact at York next time and others are more persuasive.

Diriculous 114 / was a tough and consistent performer as a four-year-old. He has been nothing like so good this season, but has slipped back to his last winning mark and it would be no surprise to see him figure prominently in a change of headgear.

Ingleby Arch 109 / is better on all-weather than on turf and resumed winning ways in decisive fashion when proving too strong for Fesko at Southwell recently. A 6 lb penalty may anchor him in this company, though.

Raggle Taggle 108 / is a speedy filly who was back to best when knuckling down well to land a six-furlong conditions event at Newmarket in June. He hasn't beaten a rival in two starts since, though.

Coleorton Choice 106 / has more good efforts than bad ones on his CV and has been absent since well beaten in a strong contest at York in June. A tongue strap is now on.

The Kyllachy Kid 107 / was out with the washing in a valuable handicap won by Swiss Diva at York in June. He has done little wrong otherwise, but has a bit to find in this company on his debut for a new yard. This is his all-weather debut.

Methaaly 106 / took advantage of a drop in the weights when scoring over six furlongs at Warwick last time. He has a lot more on his plate here from 3 lb out of the handicap, though.

CONNOLLY'S RED MILLS TRAINERS CHAMPIONSHIP HANDICAP (4)

Ebraam 98 / is a hold-up sprinter who has done the bulk of his winning on the all-weather. He ran creditably a couple of times on turf in the summer, but was well held at York last time.

Arthur’s Edge 96 / is a lightly-raced front runner who has never been the easiest to predict, but is thriving at present and a landed competitive handicap at Goodwood last time. A penalty makes life tougher, though.

Lochan Mor 98 / was unraced as a two-year-old and won a maiden at Yarmouth on his second start. He produced a solid effort in a handicap at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and is still relatively unexposed.

The Galloping Shoe 97 / was a winner over a mile here on debut and clearly retains the ability to win races off this mark. However, he is being persevered with over this trip despite shaping as though he wants further.

Zebrano 96 / was below par in his first three starts this year, but has come back to form of late and deservedly shed his maiden tag on heavy going at Chepstow in July. He raced too keenly and was tailed off last time, though, and others look stronger.

Doric Lady 100 / is a hold-up sprinter who has scored twice this year. Both of those wins came in fillies'-only events, though, and she has been well held since. She is back to a winning mark, though.

Peter Island 97 / is a speedy front-runner who bolted up at Leicester in April. He is 3 lb lower now after a series of disappointing efforts and has no easy task dictating here.

Bel Cantor 100 / is in good heart at present, finishing runner-up for the second time in September when headed close home by Rasaman on his penultimate start. He was disappointing at Warwick last time, though, and is vulnerable with other front-runners to deal with.

Patavium Prince 98 / is fully effective at this track and although not at his very best the last twice, it would not be the biggest surprise to see him bounce back under these conditions.

Rocker 97 / usually gives his running and won over five furlongs at Epsom in July. He was probably helped by coming from off a strong pace that day, and subsequent efforts suggest the handicapper has him for now.

Idle Power 96 / got up late to thwart subsequent winner We Have A Dream at Epsom (six furlongs) last month. He didn't run too badly at Folkestone last time, but this will be tougher and he is well into the veteran stage now.

Memphis Man 95 / is a hold-up sprinter who has a couple of disappointing efforts to put behind him (bolted prior to the race last time), but who should appreciate the likely strong pace.

Cape Melody 99 / opened her account in a six-furlong handicap at Chepstow in June. She showed further improvement when second at Ffos Las in July, but has not matched that in two runs since.

Highland Harvest 97 / is a free-going sort who made the most of a drop in trip (and the weights) when scoring over course and distance in July. He produced another good run here in August and a return to this track could revive his fortunes.

Elusive Hawk 103 / was arguably unlucky not to land a gamble when second at Yarmouth in April and returned to winning ways at Southwell last time. He is still on a fair mark and the market should be informative.

3.55 KAREN KENNEDY AND FRIENDS CELEBRATION HANDICAP (4)

Charlie Tokyo 98 / is normally a hold-up performer who had his finest hour when landing the John Smith's Cup here in 2007. He had a good win at Leicester in August but has not been at his best since and isn't easy to predict these days.

Emirates Champion 90+ / made a winning debut on the all-weather last November. He was a well-held fifth in a listed race at Hamilton in May on his only start since, but his stable is going a lot better now and he could potentially be different class to these.

Magic Echo 97 / is well treated on her runner-up effort at Doncaster in May but has not been at her best since, though better than result a couple of times. Any easing of ground would be in her favour.

Wee Charlie Castle 100 / is a hold-up handicapper who won at Musselburgh in July and Beverley in August. He was well below form last 2 starts, though, so not easy to know what to expect.

King’s Head 96 / picked up two races over hurdles for Gary Moore last year and an all-weather claimer in February. Signs he's on the way back of late, third of six to Quai d'Orsay last time.

Shy Glance 98 / was successful over this course/distance in June and at Hamilton in September. He was hampered at a vital stage at York last time and almost certainly remains in form. Place claims.

Tiger Dream 98 / ended a long losing run with success in apprentice event at Haydock in September. He is still fairly treated on the pick of form earlier in the season and has a place chance at least if staying this longer trip.

Bagber 95 / is not straightforward but is consistent and has won his last two starts, a maiden at Kempton and a claimer at Salisbury, leaving Harry Dunlop after latter. Needs to improve to defy this mark though.

Oddsmaker 94 / was back to form when racking up a couple of wins at Musselburgh in August/September. He dropped out tamely last time and is hard to fancy here from 3 lb out of weights.
