Scandalo Sporting Options

SO ha sospeso tutte le attivita' di betting mentre sono stati nominati amministratori degli esperti di salvataggi societari che nei prossimi giorni verificheranno le finanze della societa' inglese.

Voci ricorrenti riportano che sarebbero stati usati fondi dei clienti per pagare conti della societa' ed altro.

BETA l'associazione dei betting exchange a cui appartengono anche Betfair e Betdaq, ha espulso immediatamente SO.

Ricordo che Blue Square aveva recentemente cancellato l' acquisizione di SO proprio quando i giochi sembravano gia' fatti in quanto trovarono qualcosa d'irregolare durante la fase di "due diligence", anche se non confermarono mai di quali problemi si trattava.

London (16/11/04) Betfair, the leading online betting exchange, has launched a rescue package for Sporting Options’ customers who have lost money as a result of Sporting Options going into administration on 15th November. This means 5,000 of the 5,300 Sporting Options’ customers (or 95 per cent) owed money could be compensated in full in the next few days.



The package has been agreed with Sporting Options’ administrator and approved by Betfair’s board of directors.

4900 scommettitori di Sporting Options salvati da Betfair

Secondo il giornale inglese The Racing Post sono 4,900 gli scommettitori con depositi inferiori a £1000 (€1300), i quali avranno l’opportunità  di salvare l’ammontare perso con Sporting Options, premesso che, ovviamente, giocheranno con Betfair. Quelli invece con depositi superiori a £1000 – sembra che ci siano circa 350 di essi – riceveranno il 20% dell’ammontare dal bet-exchange leader.
