ieri pippozzi ricordava l'infortunio occorso a tursunov a long island... pare nulla di serio... pare...
Forty-three minutes into his first career semifinal, Dmitry Tursunov was forced to retire from his match with Lleyton Hewitt with a back injury. Hewitt faced a break point in the first game of the match, but saved it with an ace. He then broke Tursunov in the sixth game of the match, which was all the advantage he would need to claim the first set. Tursunov served the opening game of the second set, but after winning the first point, Hewitt won the next four for an easy break before Tursunov decided he could not continue.

Though he did not know the exact cause of the injury, Tursunov said he did not want to risk aggravating it any further, having suffered two stress fractures in his back in 2001.
"In the past I have played through some injuries when I shouldn't have and then paid for it later," said the Russian.
