Gasquet is not having decidedly such a great season, playing without confidence on the last tournaments and not decidedly on his best surface to play, but Tsonga is at the first tournament on clay, his decidedly worse surface, he had not really great performance in the past and seen his characteristics this coluld be maybe normal. I think that Gasquet on this surface is better then Tsonga and also a bit more solid on the baseline, Tsonga will try as usual to find the winner and the winning solution and maybe on this kind of surface this is not too easy and I don't think that Gasquet for a lot of reasons should be underdog on this match. Better on this surface, leading the head to head winning the last one this year on hard, more matches on clay and more results too on this kind of surface, so this is enough for me to estimate him as the favorite and not Tsonga as the odds are saying.

Robredo yesterday played really horrible against Safin and just the madness of this last one allowed the Spanish to win the match when he has down on the scores by one set and 4:1 with two breaks on the second one,unusual too many errors for the Spanish that also last week didn't played so well on his home's tournament in Barcelona, of course after a match as this one against Safin he can only to make better and better his performance and on clay if he is in shape is a very tough player to face, but so I didn't seen his so well.
Philipp Kohlschreiber played a very solid match against Bolelli with hard conditions to play, he seems in shape and so solid on the performance, of course the better Robredo is a very tough player to face for him seen the characteristics of the two players, but so no way in my opinion seen the conditions of the player to bet on the German is a must, also maybe with not too much confidence, but so just a must in my opinion.

Andy Murray (1.26) vs Juan Monaco (4.61):

Juan Monaco is a very good solid clay court player, is in Monte-Carlo, then in Barcelona and also here in Roma is playing a good tennis, but Murray is a champion and on all the analysis of the game the Scot is just superior, of course Monaco is qualified and has won already a first round match, the conditions of playing aren't so easy even if right now there's sun in Rome, for Murray is his "first" round and in Rome he had not really great performance in the past, but so about 1.25it seems so fair as price and will depend on what kind of performance will do Murray and I pick him as the winner of this one, but not such a good bet to that price.

Marin Cilic (1.35) vs Cristophe Rochus (3.76):

Marin Cilic is not doing a great season on clay, in Monte-Carlo he lost very easily to Fognini playing decidedly under his potentialities, of course clay for him is maybe the worse surface to play as he is a very high player, with a lot of winners and not really fast and solid on the cour, that on clay are most of the times the key.
He has won both of his first rounds against Cipolla, that is a similar player to Rochus, without great winners but pretty solid on the baseline. Finally I don't think that Cilic will go on on the next days, but I think that Rochus has the perfect characteristics for him and If he will not do too much unforced errors as against Fognini he coluld win also on a very easy way the match, but right odds of course, no way.

Robin Soderling (1.31) vs Victor Crivoi (3.91):

I saw playing Crivoi against Blake and he has been very lucky to play maybe the worst player on this surface that actually is playing the Rome Masters, the Yankee was really a disaster and I don't think that Crivoi will have the chance again to win a round on a such tournament like this, also because he is not too solid, he has not winners, is a perfect normal challenger player.
Soderling is living on another way, but sometimes especially on clay he can also lose to himself, putting all the balls out without let play also the other one, so this in my opinion is the only chance for Crivoi.

Fernando Verdasco (1.17) vs Mardy Fish (6.40):

Fish played not bad for his standards on clay, but Andreev has been a disaster on the court missing too much easy blows and playing really so bad.
I don't see how Fish could have a chance against this Verdasco, it's the first match here for the Spanish and all can happen, but it would be a big surprise for me to see the Yankee go on again.

Nikolay Davydenko (1.17) vs Jurgen Melzer (6.30):

Melzer is not on a great moment, but Beneteau yesterday has been horrible on the court doing a very bad performance and then Melzer after some tournaments is back to the win, Davydenko of course is not as Benneteau, is playing very well, he leads easily 4:0 on the H2H and sincerely I don't find any key for the Austrian player.

There's no any kind of things to analyze, I don't think that Karlovic could have a chance on this one, clay for him is the worster surface to play seen his service and also if Federer is playing on his bad level career, will be enough for him to win easily this one.

Gonzalez is having a such good shape on the last tournaments, playing really pretty good and having as usual an incredible forehand, but also with the backhand really solid and this the key for him with the service too.
Tipsarevic yesterday won a great match for him against Acasuso, clay is not the best surface to play for him and so today the match will be really so hard for me and I don't think that he will have so many chances, even if there's to say that last meeting was last year on this tournament and it was so close, but it was another kind of Gonzalez, not decidedly like this one.

Gilles Simon (1.48) vs Fabio Fognini(3.14):

Simon after a brillant start of the year with such good results is having not a great period right now and also phisically he seems not on a perfect shape, but on clay he can play so well with his very solid baseline way to play, Fognini is similar to him, but not continuos on the performance as the French and yesterday he had a very tough match won 7:6 to the tiebreak of the final set, closing the match at 01.00 am and so this match could be really the key of this one, it's not easy to recover phisically and mentally after a big battle to that hour and although that Simon is not playing amazing I think that seen the conditions his price is respectable.

Will Nadal injury himself on this match? Because if he will play as usual on the same style without any physical problems after playing almost for two weeks in a row I don't see how can he lose to Seppi, no way.

Wawrinka is having such a great season on clay, in Monte-Carlo he did so well beating also Federer and is showing a very good conditions, playing a very offensive game especially with his wonderful backhand, Youzhny has back winning matches but right now he is far away to this Wawrinka and also the clay for him is not really the perfect surface to play for his characteristics. Last week they played in Barcelona and won Wawrinka in straight sets, probably it will be the same here.

Juan Martin Del Potro (1.25) vs Viktor Troicki (5.00):

Del Potro not on a great moment of shape, in Monte-Carlo he been really a disaster against Ljubicic, totally out of shape and confidence, the problem is that Troicki has on clay his worse surface to play and is not having great performance too, also the head to head are easily for the Argentine, so I think that Del Potro will be the winner of this one or at least he has to fight a lot for losing this one seen all the aspects of this match.
