BANGOR City manager Nev Powell will be without four key players for this weekend’s vital home clash against Bala Town.
The Citizens’ Boxing Day trip to Maes Tegid was brought to an end at half time last weekend, as heavy rain turned the playing surface into a deluge.
Both camps agreed that referee Kevin Parry’s decision to abandon the match was the correct one, with conditions continuing to deteriorate.
Former blue Lee Hunt had given the Lakesiders a 1-0 lead during the opening 45 minutes before the contest was ended at the interval.
The abandonment means that Les Davies’ one match ban will be carried forward to the upcoming New Year clash at the Book People Stadium, which is a big blow to Powell.
Leon Clowes will have to wait a week further to return to action, having missed out on serving the first game of a three match ban.
To top it off for the Citizens, striker Jack Laird and defender Iolo Hughes remain out of contention due to injuries.
Powell and his side know that victory at Nantporth on Friday evening (7.45pm) could lift them off the foot of the table and inch them closer to tenth-placed
Rhyl, who lie eight points above City.
In Bala, the Citizens know they will come up against an organised outfit targeting second place in the Welsh Premier League.
Boasting the attacking threat of Hunt, Kieran Smith and talisman Mark Connolly, the Lakesiders are sure to pose a tough test for their Gwynedd rivals.

Sto Newtown che gioca per il sesto posto, quindi parte alta della seconda metà del campionato, la partita sul campo del Connahs che non ha interesse è stata già rinviata due volte, la settimana passata si giocava a 2,40 dai maratoneti, ora la quota è scesa a 1,95, Sisal non la gioca.
La quota non c'è più, son dilettanti, magari interessa ancora.

TNS - Carmarthen Town, sulla carta è un impresa ma chissà.. è l'ultima di campionato il TNS imbattuto in stagione a +11 dalla 2° ha la matematica certezza di mantenere la prima posizione con qualsiasi risultato, gli ospiti con la vittoria del Newtown si trovano momentaneamente risucchiati nel gruppo retrocessione anche solo un pareggio dovrebbe consentirgli di venirne a capo.
Carmarthen che dovrebbe essere la squadra più motivata quì, X2 @5.00 è da provare.
