Again, Austrian Cup, postponed match of 1/16 of finals!
And again, I will go with outsider, not without a reason! Krems were Cup winners in 1987/88, when they were 2nd division club, but since then, theyve been up to Bundesliga 1 and down to Regionalliga again. We found them on 10th place of Regionalliga Ost, which does not promis much. But!
They are on a winning streak. And all started with first round cup win against 2nd Bundesliga highfliers, Ried (2:0). Since then, they have 3 league wins in a row (4:2,4:0,2:0) all against low oposition, but still! They hit the form. And they will try the upset, cause they have motivation high: if they win, they will host GAK, champions from Graz!! And dont say, Gratkorn has the same motivation, cause they dont! If they win, they will have to go and play GAK as guests, which means, they have no chance nor for money as for promotion into QF!
Gratkorn themselves made a famous win last friday, won at Kapfenberg 3:0, but we all need to know, Kapfenberg were overrated and are on 3 games losing streak. Also, it was Styria derby.
Both teams, have ex-Sturm player in their ranks and I will give advantage Krems goalie Weber in front of Gratkorn oldie attacker Arnold Wetl!
