GBa is not a bad team at all this season; they have not changes many players since the last season but there are a very good motivation with the new coach. They are at a good 7th place at the table; this is perhaps a too good place for them, but they desserve this rank because they produce a very attractive soccer nowadays.They have won 0-4 on the road the last week at Antwerp, in the "hot" derby. This result was a little bit surprising for me, as I considered Antwerp with a small advantage at home, but this GBA team have taken profit of some defensive errors and that the fact that Antwerp have had some "last minut" problems in the team. But this 0-4 doesn't represent the real difference between the team; GBA have had some luck in this match.
Gent is a UEFA cup candidate but they have shown nothing so far.They are at the 8th place at the table and they don't desserve better. After a good 1-1 against FC Brugge on the road (two weeks ago), they have made a poor 1-1 at home against Charleroi. They miss 2 good players - injuries - at the moment (the midfielder Verschuere and the def Peeters), and these players are - IMO - two of the best players of the team. They will probably be still out for the GBA match.
They have not impressed very much, as I said, and I consider that GBA at home (2/1/0) will be a very hard opponent for Gand.
GBA produces a better soccer and they are "slight" favorite for me.
