Beveren is the most unpredictable team in Belgium D1, with many African players who can play a excellent match but to maker too much stupid mistakes, minly in defense, or to receive 2 or 3 stupid red cards. They have only 2 wins in 7 matches, and 6 points. They play a very attractive soccer but there is always the question with them : How will they play ? The last match was very bad for them; they have lost 3-0 at FC Brugge and they have only had 1 real chance to score in 90 min. We have to notice here that three "A" players will be suspended : Boka (mid), Eboué (def) and Le Bras (def).
Charleroi is not so bas than many people can think; they play not very good but they'd desserve to have some points more. They are very organisated in defense and they have only conceded 6 goals in 7 matches, which is a good point for a relegation candidate. In their last match, they have made a 1-1 draw against ST Truiden at home and they desserved the 3 points again. They had problems in atack but they have bought a new striker (Traoré who have already scored the last week in his first chance.
Important match for both teams here, and I don't see an easy win for Beveren; Charleroi will fight for the draw and play counter attacks; moreover, they don't have team problems this time.

Westerlo - Heusden
Westerlo is at the 12th place at the table; they will probably stay in the first league without so much problems. They wins their easy matches and they loose often against bigger teams; they are not really a surprising team... The last week, they have taken profit of the very poor form of Lokeren and they have won 1-3 away. One def (Elejiko) is suspended.
Heusden have finally scored ! They have scored 2 times against Anderlecht... It was still 2-1 after 75 min and Anderlecht have decided " to play" the last 15 min... and the match finished with a 2-4 score. I have not changed my mind that this team is one the the weakest team in this league. However, they have signed a Czech Rep striker : Jiri KOWALIK (ex FC Synot).... We will see if he is able to play good matches...
We have to notice here that Westerlo is unbeaten at home so far (1/2/0) and that Heusden have lost all their away matches by a 2-0 score (0/0/3)

Genk - Lokeren
Genk is really suprising this season; they have sold some good players, like Sonck, Skoko and Dagano. And they are now at the third place at the table... They play sometimes good matches, but the best point for them is their mentality; they always fight. The last week at Lierse, it was 3-1 and they have managed to win 3-5 ! The top striker Roussel starts to find his partners and they have played some moments a really interesting football. I estimate this team and they won't be easy to beat nowadays.
Lokeren, on the other hand, is really in bad form. It's difficult to understand their problems, want they have finally lost only one player some weeks ago, and they have not won a single match in 7 matches... Their loss 1-3 at home against Westerlo was probably the baddest result this season for Lokeren. They would like to sign a new striker soon (Oulare from Turkey ?) but nothing is sure at the moment.
Lokeren is not really able to play a good defensive match (15 goals conceded in 7 matches...)and in a "open" match I think that Genk has the msot chances to win the match.
Lokeren won't be relegated, and they will probably start to win some matches soon, but this one at Genk will be a hard task ..

La Louviere - Mons
Well .. Very special match here !
Firstly, it's a derby ! 15 KLM between the two towns.
Some months ago, Mons and La Louviere have talked together with poissibilities to have only "one team" this season; finally, the fans were so angry that nothing have changed...
La Louvieire have impressed many times this season, with some good results like the 3-3 draw at FC Brugge, the 1-1 Home dra against Benfica or the last 0-2 on the road against Standard. Their strong point ? Their coach... Ariel Jacobs was the assistant coach from Waseige in the Belgian National Team and it's for me one of the two best coaches in Belgium at the moment. However, even if LL have played a good match the last week, Standard was very poor ... LL is in fact a good organistaed team who likes to play football, with a good mentality and it's enough to be sometimes a giant killer if the opponent is not really able to make the difference. LL is at the middle of the table. Their striker Ishiaku is suspended.
And Mons ... Damn ! They have sacked their coach Grosjean yesterday !
With Grosjean they were promoted two seasons ago, and they finished at the 9th place the last season ... Now he have made some bad result, and he is already sacked ! They have taken a strange guy to rteplace him : Sergio BRIO. This guy have played during 12 years at JUVENTUS (defender) and was assistant of Trappatoni recently. However, he have never coached a team before ! )-:
No doubt that he will start some "catenaccio" at Mons and he will perhaps come with more regularity in the Mons defense...But iot's not sure that it's the good choice ... He doesn't speak French ! 80 % of the Mons players speaks French... His assistant will translate what he says ... )-:
Mons will have Suray (mid) and Van de Putte (Gk) back from suspension, while the best player and defender Ciobotariu will be suspended. Rivenet (striker) is doubtful.

Without to offer a good football, the UEFA cup candidate Gent is at the 4th place. No one talks about Gent here in Belgium but they are there ! Their last win at GBA have shown that they are a good team this season and only Anderlecht have finally beaten them in these first 7 matches. Their important midfielder Verschuere will perhaps be back from injury.
The last week, it was the first time that the coach Leekens have played with the Mouscron's top strikers Mpenza and Zewlakow, two international players. Both have scored and Mouscron have beaten Antwerp at home 2-0. Both would be able to play against Gent this week. Mouscron have the same number of points than Gent and we will have here an interesting match between two ambitious teams. Only Besengez is still out at Mouscron.
Gent play at home and will be the logical favorite in this match with two "equal" teams.

St Truiden - GBA
We don't hear many things about ST Truiden, and even if some people say that they are weaker than the last season, they are at the 6th place after 7 matches. Their last draw 1-1 at Charleroi was a little bit lucky, want Charleroi have dominated all the match. But well .. It's always the case at Charleroi and St Truiden have a more realistic team with striker who scores easy. Moreover, ST Truiden have played 5 matches / 7 on the road and they will have the advantage to play often in the future. They have beaten FC Brugge 2 weeks ago; fdinally, only Anderlecht have beaten them this season.
GBA have surprised some people this season with their quality football. They are at the middle of the table and they are a little bit unpredictable in my eyess. they have won 0-4 in the hot derby the last week at Antwerp, and they have easily lost 0-2 the last week against Gent. I expected better from them the last week but they are finally at the right place .. at the middle of the table. Their good off midfielkder K Snelders is injured.
St Truiden will be favorite at home here.

CS Brugge - Lierse
The promoted Cs Brugge is at the 10th place and I'm surprised ... They are not good but they have won two matches so far (2/2/3). All the points taken is a good thing, but they will have problems to stay in this league in the second part of the season. After a win against Standard, they have made a goalless draw at Mons... They were again lucky, with many chances missed from Mons. Mons was clearly the best team on the ground. But when you fight, you can take sometimes one pojt at the left and at the right ...
Lierse have lostt the three points agaisnt Genk 3-5... after a 3-1 score. Genk have scored 4 goals in 4 chances after the 3-1. These things can happen, it's football, but I don't have to forget that Lierse have played a good match too and desserved at least the draw here. Genk won't always score in all their chances.
For this match, I'm confident that Lierse won't loose and "to lay" Cercle seems a good option, for me. All the Lierse results on the road are not bad so far : Two wins agaisnt Charleroi (0-1) and Mons(1-3), and a draw against Mouscron (0-0).
Lierse is usually a team with a regularity, I mean that they don't loose often against bad teams.

Antwerp - Standard
Natwerp have lost two timesi n a row, with a 0-4 agaisnt GBA i nthe derby, followed by a 2-0 away against Mouscron. They have played a very defensive amtch at Mouscron, as often, but Mouscron have played with their best strikers and they have simply made the difference. For this match, they welcome back their striker Pivaljevic to partner Goots in attaack, and their good midfielder Hussein, back from Quatar. Both have missed very much in the lat matches. Hussein creates many actions while Pivaljevic can score easily.
Standard have made a good start this season, with 10/12. After that, the staff have decided to buy three players : Sorondo, Mumlek and Mpenza...And since then they have all lost !!! What's the matter .... ? not easy to understand ... Perhpas the "old" players think that they were strong enough without these new players ?

Ho letto le considerazioni di Sonck su ANVERSA - STANDARD LIEGI ed io ho informazioni totalmente contrarire. l'ANVERSA sarà priva di 5 giocatori, 4 dei quali sicuramente titolari mentre lo STANDARD LIEGI giochera per la prima volta con la squadra al completo.

Scusa Little ma io non ho parlato di formazioni, infortuni o squalifiche ma del momento di crisi a livello mentale dello Standard che anche nelle ultime 2 giornate ha giocato con una formazioni che era per 10/11 quella ideale, perdendo...lo standard è certamente favorito e se gioca come deve la porta a casa di certo qusta partita ma bisognerà vedere se ne avrà voglia.
