William Hill assurda
Inviato: 28/11/2005 - 10:57
"Dear Sir/Madam,
We are unfortunately writing to inform you of a display error that occurred on
the William Hill website for the Houston at Memphis competition. The
competition was inadvertently displayed as Houston at 10/11 (+2) and Memphis
at 10/11 (-2) , when it should have been displayed as Houston at 10/11 (+5.5)
and Memphis at 10/11 (-5.5), and as such your bet has been captured
incorrectly.
In accordance with Rule F Acceptance of Bets:
"We cannot allow for mistakes or accept responsibility for any errors or
omissions in respect of the announcing, publishing or marking of prices,
runners or results despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy. We
reserve the right to correct obvious errors".
In relation to this rule your bet(s) will be settled at the correct odds. We
are happy, however, to void your wager(s) should you prefer. If you could
therefore contact us before 01:05 GMT, 26th November 2005, we will willingly
void your bet and credit your stake to your account where you should see your
balance redressed accordingly."
"Thank you for your e-mail.
The bet in question has been settled as a losing double in accordance with our rules.
An incorrect handicap market was released for the Memphis v Houston game, with the correct market being -5.5 points; all bets were settled against this handicap.
Within our general rules it state that we reserve the right to settle all bets at the correct prices/conditions and we reserve the right to correct obvious errors.
Unfortunately we will not be able to settle this bet in the way you suggest."
